Where Your Money Goes
Where
Your Money Goes
1.
When a supporter mails a contribution or
makes a payment online, the amount is deposited directly into All As One’s US or
UAE bank account. State and federal bank examinations, and IRS reporting
requirements ensure accountability.
2.
Funds are transferred to Africa through a
wire transfer banking system in accordance with an approved budget and strict
instructions on how and where the money is to be used in Sierra Leone.
3.
All As One’s staff in Africa distributes the funds to the intended recipients.
Our staff follows strict guidelines to ensure that the benefits and services are
used wisely and efficiently. We also work hard to provide the best care that is
required to meet the children's needs.
4.
Independent, local accounting
firms annually audit our work in Sierra Leone. This is required by the
government of Sierra Leone in order for All As One to maintain our
non-governmental organization (NGO) status.
5.
All As One’s executive director,
Deanna Wallace, lives in Sierra Leone more than half of every year. She is able
to conduct financial and program reviews. The children are known personally and
supervised directly by Deanna since she spends most of her time at the orphanage
while in Sierra Leone.
